Carrick is Scotland based ceramicist - Aimee Holt, an independent maker creating hand thrown and hand built pieces.

The name Carrick, meaning rock, is taken from a coastal area near her hometown in rural Galloway - where much of her inspiration took root.

The raw and elemental beauty of the Scottish coastline continue to guide her work - the roughness of the rocks and the deep grounding palettes of the land, inspire the colour, texture and finish of each piece. Some forms are partly left unglazed, echoing the coastal land, lending a brooding and earthy character that reflects the rugged Scottish landscape.

Aimee now works from her home studio in East Lothian. Her work is intentionally simple and minimal, with a strong connection to traditional ways of making—where no two pieces are exactly the same. Each piece is an invitation to slow down and connect with land, tradition, and to the quiet ritual of daily use.
